More about our large Holiday Farmhouse:
Nowton Lodge Farm is a 500 year old Grade II listed traditional Suffolk farmhouse and equestrian property in grounds of around 4 acres.
Dating from circa 1508, the house retains many features typical of the period, including exposed beams, original floorboards, an inglenook fireplace; and is decorated to a high standard.
"Quite Interesting" information about the farmhouse...
Long before cars it was the nightly stopover for the Colchester to Norwich leg of the London to Norwich coach, passengers staying in the Lodge Inn with the Coach House for the coach man, so Nowton Lodge Farm has been welcoming guests for hundreds of years.
It was once owned by Gainsborough Dupont, nephew of Thomas Gainsborough - unfortunately no masterpieces were found in the attic!
